Text Message Policy & Opt-In
What the program is
Students of Jordan Lovinger Music, or a parent or guardian for students under 18, can receive a short text message the morning of a scheduled lesson. It confirms the lesson time and location and, if that lesson's invoice is still open, includes a link to pay. Students can reply to reschedule or ask a question. These are lesson-related account notifications, not marketing.
How you opt in
Consent is collected when you enroll. On the lesson inquiry form and on the intro call, the student (or the parent or guardian of a minor) provides a mobile number and agrees to receive lesson-related text messages at that number. The exact wording shown at enrollment is:
"By providing a mobile number you agree to receive lesson-related text messages from Jordan Lovinger Music at that number, up to one message per lesson day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help."
Existing students were told about lesson-day confirmations by email on September 16, 2026 and can decline by replying to that email or to any text.
Message frequency and cost
Up to one message per scheduled lesson day. Most students take one lesson a week. Message and data rates may apply according to your carrier's plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message and you will receive one confirmation that you are unsubscribed and nothing further. Reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or contact Jordan directly at jordan@groovemountains.com or (202) 270-5248.
